Julie Sheldon Huffaker

Originally trained as a cultural anthropologist, Julie fell into business quite by accident – literally, it was a car accident (no one was hurt) – which led to work with Starbucks Coffee Company helping craft the experiential marketing approach, an MBA, and a 10-year-and-counting partnership in boutique business consultancy On Your Feet.

•    Favorite vegetable: Brussel sprouts.
•    Spare time: Big believer in it. Yoga, biking, metalworking, international travel to remote and unlikely places.
•    Worst job: Selling feminine hygiene products to rural, southern grocery stores during the introduction of “wings.”
•    Most inspiring movie: Antonia’s Line.
•    Other stuff: Author of four books, including The Deeper, Funner Facilitation Cookbook, and articles in publications ranging from the San Francisco Examiner to the Journal of Management Education.  Morehead-Cain Scholar with the University of North Carolina, Carnegie Fellow at Portland State University.
